It seems Arena is now selling them as Women's bikini bottoms, fully lined, and guys are buying them. That’s probably an error on Amazons part. The catalog has it as women’s separates. Never tried that but it would be a nice way of being able to enjoy the feeling of wearing a thong swimming without anyone knowing it.

If you like the feel of Adidas then I'd also recommend Slazenger. The fabric is also very thin and stretchy like the Adidas ones and a similar cut. They used to sell them on Sports Direct I think.

I'd say as long as you are in a country where speedos are worn by lap swimmers then there should be no reason why you shouldn't wear them in all other pools regardless of venue.
