Whoops, I am in HK but saw this too late. where did you end up visiting? Didn't get to do much because of my schedule, so just did some tourist-y things since it was my first time there! Went to the peak, temple st. night market, and shopped around in mongkok and causeway bay. Definitely need to go...

Definitely something that has crossed my mind a few times--the cut is really nice, especially the butt area, but I share the same concern with others (the bugle area, etc). I'd look into possibly buying one and see how that works out haha

Desmiit is definitely a value! I have a suit by them as well (white, with blue stripes on the side), and for about $10USD off Amazon, the suit is great quality. I'd recommend to buy one (just keep in mind sizing like the others have mentioned).

How exciting! At my local gym, there's always a mix of swimwear. I always wear my speedos when I swim at my gym (of course, more on the conservative side in terms of cut/size of the suit). Speedos are the appropriate attire for a swimmer, so might as well rock it considering it's the right context.
