On one of my speedos last week the string got caught in the door to the gym locker. And as I pulled them up the string pulled all the way out. So my decision ahs been made, no string. It seems quite simple. If the eyelets for the string are on the inside (as in the first photo) keep the tied string inside, if they're on the outside (as in the second), well you get the drill.

I don't recall the first time as they were my only swimming costume until I was a teenager and we went to Hawaii. Mum bought me some Hawaiian surf shorts (very short shorts) but after a day I went back to my regular cozzies. And have done so since.

I'm going out on a limb here, and forgive me if I am overstepping, but how about swimming? From what I understand that may have been an original use for Speedo™ brand swimwear (and swimming briefs like them).

Why would you want to remove the liner from the suit? A cozzie is made of a very small amount of material, why remove about a third of it? Would it help you swim faster? Would the suit dry faster? If you're doing it to jauntily jiggle your junk, perhaps consider going to a nude beach. You wouldn't h...
