How do you wash your speedos?

How do you wash your speedos?

I normally just hand wash them in fresh water and hang them to dry.

Sometimes I add a product like suit solutions that helps neutralize the chlorine or I have one thats tailored to remove salt and sand.

I know some people put them in the washing machine but I've always been hesitant to do that.

Just hand wash, plain water or a touch of normal laundry liquid. Be careful to dry properly though, I have just noticed my white Desmiit have tiny black marks on them that looks like mould :(

I hand wash them in "Woolite", "Speedo swim suit cleaner", "Swim and Sport" or other lycra swim suit specific cleaners, and then hang dry.

Woolite by hand in the sink, or with my body wash in the shower after swimming.

Like Scottie said, be careful hanging them to dry. I had a bright colored pair with a black waistband and the bright part got black marks on it from the way I left it drying.

I tend to wear my speedos straight in from the pool and into the shower. I"ll use a drop or two of Pantene shampoo and hand wash them. I have a salt water pool so I don't worry about chlorine, I'll then hang them on the water valve. On occasion I"ll throw them in the wash with other clothing. If they get ruined its a perfect excuse to buy new ones.

I wash mine in a mesh garment bag on a gentle cycle, similar to what women was lingerie in, with Woolite. I then hang them in my laundry room above the dryer while I'm drying other clothes so they dry faster without actually putting them in the dryer. Dry within a couple of hours, no shrinkage and no mildew. Fold them up and put them back in their drawer cubes.

I normally wear mine into the shower and let them dry.

Otherwise they go in with other washing and then into the dryer.

I've had some trouble with some Nike non-lycra speedos that didn't seem to like it as well as the drawstring on some AussieBum's coming out but generally no problems.

I wash mine in the shower after swimming. After several times of use I wash them by hand with plain water and a laundry liquid to get off the smell of chlorine. Then they may dry at the air.

I also use a small amount of Woolite and hand wash and thoroughly rinse. Avoid wringing them in any way.I line dry in the house. I'm thinking of getting a sweater drying rack for them.

After pool swimming, just hand rinse in cool water.

But I wear lots of sunscreen in the boat and at the beach, so I cold water. hand wash with simple shampoo, like Suave brand.

This is what I was advised by a lycra suit manufacturer.

I just wash em with other clothes and use hangers for drying. Sometimes the drawstrings get messed up. :(
