Swimming laps

Post by CanSpeedo » Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:51 am

So I decided that I would start swimming laps again. I’m not a great swimmer but find it’s a good exercice for days when I work from home.

Today was my first time and I have to honestly (sadly) say that I wore a jammer. A somewhat shorter one but still a jammer.

I wanted to get the lay of the land and was glad to see that I saw 4 speedos (one guy has this great orange speedo brand speedo). I think I’m going to have to check things out a few more times but can’t imagine myself not wearing a speedo.

Honestly I kind felt overdressed in the water while swimming.

You wore a jammer, a jammer. Is this this called The Jammer Forum, no it’s called The Speedo Forum. What were you thinking man? Baby steps. I still wear speedos under swim shorts, short swim shorts. This is the Adidas swim short I wear. I have it in various colours. Image
Love speedos, running shorts, rugby shorts, Aussie rules footy shorts.

I always wore speedos for races but most of the time for practice wore trunks for drag with speedos underneath.
When just hanging out at the pool casually I'd always wear speedos under board shorts or trunks for support.

Let me get this straight...speedo enthusiast, in pretty good shape YOU hit the pool and saw several other speedos, and you need more info....

NO YOU DON'T. Here's what's gonna happen Bro: you're going to scare up your best-looking swim brief and hit the pool, crank out your workout, feel great in the water, fit right in with the other speedo-rocking fellas, and then spend a few minutes chatting up the cute lifeguard while nearly naked on the deck. Do it. Today!

Best regards!

No, you do not need to check things out a few more times - walk out the locker room in your speedos and get in that water!!
You will love it, enjoy!!

Thanks bud! The lifeguard wasn’t the cutest at first but the second was. Lol
Actually I’m pretty sure the first lifeguard was checking out orange speedo guy when he walked in (as I was)!

Yeah, the guys are exactly on point.

There is nothing to check out.

1. Wear your swim brief.

2. Enjoy your swim.

It really is that simple.

Oh, and Speedoaddict:

When I come over to England, I'm gonna get you out of those shorts and just in your swim briefs in public, I promise you that!

My first time swimming laps I did not wear my speedo but saw a few guys at the pool who did and the next swim I was in my speedo and been happy ever since. You are with swimmers they don't care what you wear and all know speedo is appropriate and in my opinion the best option.

We're swimmers, we wear the uniform of swimming. The briefer version, generally.

I started with the Speedo Solar then moved to the Sporti Euro. For the daytime swim sessions I’m now wearing a Gary Majdell Ultra Greek with no odd stares or comments. Twice a week they have an adults only (18&over) lap swim in the evenings, I’m now wearing a Desmiit thong for those. Like others have said, wear it with confidence and act normal.

Glad to help! Maybe we inspired others out there on the fence. Whatever raises the speedo profile. :)

It was great. Like others said, just walked out and acted normal and it felt normal. There were 2 others in speedos and lots of hammers but nobody really cared. One weirdo had baggy shorts and a sweater...
