Speedo Solar Splice

Has anyone had a Speedo Solar Splice? I used to have a couple of them. They were Solars with a contrasting color spliced into the front sides in a V shape highlighting the natural V shape of that part of the anatomy.

I wish they were still available. They were much better looking than the plain Solar.

I’ve done a google search for speedo solar print as I remember there used to be print versions of the suit. I did stumble across the speedo shoreline 1” brief which has a bit more style with the stripes on the hips.

I also did come across a solar brief in a jungle print. I wish speedo would run the solar in a few prints or at least more colors. It is one of the best sellers according to their web-site.

I have one in black with blue accents. It's gotta be twenty five years old, and is chlorine- destroyed. Lined in front, very sheer in back, you can practically see through it in back. Has lots of splices including a buttcrack splice.

Those I had were probably were probably from 25 years ago. They are long since worn out.

That’s interesting. However the model is wearing it all wrong in my opinion. It is pulled up too high. It should be worn much lower on the hips and should cover the lower butt.

Agree completely.

I think Speedo has some of the worst product photography of any of the swimwear brands! It's like they're trying to make their suits look as un-flattering as possible! Their customers look much better in their suits than their models do.

The upper photo is how to wear a Speedo Solar. The lower photo is how now to wear a Speedo Solar. In my opinion you NEVER pull a speedo up over your hip bones.

In the third photo I demonstrate approximately where the suit should be.

Wasn't aware speedo did so many variations of the "solar" - although now seems to have 2in sides. Found these on eBay
