Just wondering...

Post by Bullseye » Mon Jan 15, 2018 11:35 am

Obviously you would not be reading this if you didn't enjoy something about speedos. But I am curious about the percentage of people who actually swim for fitness in speedos and those who enjoy speedos for other reasons.
Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Just about every day, and only in a brief, either Speedo or Dolphin brand. Occasionally a Sporti or Turbo.

I think my lifelong "thing" for speedos became the reason for my adult-onset swimming routine. I want to look like a hardcore swimmer? Then I want to swim like one.
*Not that non-swimmers out there need to swim. Like what you like, ferchrissake. :0) Just my personal experience.

I simply admire the male body in speedos and enjoy wearing briefs.

My desire to wear speedos has driven me to swim for fitness.

Like many here, I've always worn speedos, and the love of them means I go swimming regularly just to wear them. Helps that I love being in the water.
Speedos - the only way to swim...

Yep, same here. Swimming is great exercise but it’s also a chance for me to wear out in the open.

Now if I could just get my wife to think it’s hot and not silly...

I'm with you. My wife recently joined my gym but flat out told me, "I will not be swimming next to you if you are wearing a speedo."

BTW, 52dno98, I have that suit you are wearing in your avatar pic. Great looking suit!

This should be a "select all that apply" question!

For my part, a big reason I swim for fitness is because I like wearing speedos. And I will wear them or a square cut at the beach or pool often too, especially on vacation with the wife.

That is tough - I am so lucky my partner loves me in speedos and actively suggests new ones for me

I used to wear them under boardshorts anyway when I was growing up because I don’t like free balling lol. And recently when I started swimming for fitness it just made sense to just wear briefs.

I started swimming for fitness and after a few years made the switch to speedos. But now getting to wear speedos regularly is a good motivator for me to keep swimming/fit.

This is great. I am even shocked at the numbers. I had no idea our group was mostly actual swimmers. Very surprised. Okay now who wants to race? Anybody want to do a postal meet?

I think actual swimmers are more likely to wear speedos than non swimmers so it doesn’t surprise me.
