Wow. I never thought of diving necessarily as a muscular sport. I guess to do the complex dives. you do need to forcibly twist your body around. Still, I'd have thought flexibility with strength was key, something you'd get from, say, Pilates, but what do I know.

Yeah, agree with you, never thought before that it was a particularly muscular sport although Jack Laugher is very well built!

Yikes, Scottie, his calves are bigger than his butt cheeks. Maybe it's an optical distortion.

Probably a tiny bit of distortion due to water/waves. But I imagine he still has highly-developed calves.
