Hey guys, new to the forum and recently relocated to southwest Florida. Been wearing speedos since swim team in high school. Anyone here from the area or know where guys in the Fort Myers/Naples area go to hang out in their speedos?

Welcome to the group can not think of any speedo beach in your area but if you go to Fort Lauderdale Sebastion beach is full of guys in speedos so is South Beach Miami around 12th street.

Not much real help, but I've worn a variety of Aussiebums at beach resorts near Sarasota. Was all fine. The beaches along there are perfect! Go ahead anywhere. You look great!!

BTW, is your profile suit an AB Tangerine WJ?

Thanks guys.

The suit in my pic is an AB 1.5 classic WJ. Just picked up a few more Aussiebums during the sale. Also a big fan of the Sporti Euro brief.

Unfortunately, AB has discontinued that WJ color, Tangerine (it is great-I've got one), and all the WJ's except for the "Loose"version. Not any yellow/orange colors in their Classic suits at all.

Also a big fan of the Sporti Euro here, have several of them. I wear a 36 in that suit (it fits perfect for comfortable lap swimming), can you offer some advice in relation to sizing of the AB?

That’s a bummer. I’ve always liked the orange.

I’m a 32 in the Sporti, and the AB in my avatar is a small. Fits snug, but I feel like next size up would be too big. Hope that helps.

As said earlier, come to Ft Laud. Tons of speedos on the beach.

I swim 2,500 meters 3 times per week and for the most part you see mostly speedos doing laps.

I went to Orlando in mid September this year. Wore a navy blue pair of briefs to the hotel pool and hot tub, no one complained or gave me the stink eye.

I've worn speedos to Sanibel and Boca Grande with no issues. I may have seen some old dude wearing a speedo on Sanibel, but other than that I was the only one that I know of. Didn't care...it was great.
Just a straight guy that enjoys wearing speedos. Life is too short, enjoy wearing what you want.
