Speedos you wish you'd bought

Post by landoffrozensheep » Tue Mar 17, 2020 5:57 pm

Another random question:
Speedos (speedo brand or otherwise you wish you'd bought)

Mine: Kiniki did one about 20 years ago called "Celsius" which were hot pink and yellow, didn't have the nerve to buy them and I was living in my folks at the time and they could be incredibly "variable" in mindset...

Circa 1992-3, two of my closest friends at school wore rainbow speedos. I wish my mother bought me a pair, but of course she didn't. To this day she doesn't approve of swimwear "that looks like undies"!

My best mate at high school had a pair of speedo's with a royal blue front with dayglo pink little devils on them. Not buying a pair wasn't really an issue as I never saw any for sale and he couldn't remember where they came from but God they were cool.

Cool. Not sure of the brand. The pattern was really nice. I've seen rainbow pairs since, but they weren't the same. The original pair wasn't so much stripes as a warm wash of colours running together. Hard to explain. 8)

Our school speedos was royal blue and yellow. (They called yellow "gold" for some reason). Never got me a pair of them either. But they were compulsory for the boys who made the swim team. I guess I wasn't fast enough.

Pretty similar to the N2N Prisms that I wore in my hotel adventure last Sat. I also always start my tanning season in them!

You can now order any Turbo swimsuits style that they ever released directly from Turbo's corporate website. They literally made their entire collection dating back years available now. I think they are made-to-order so they take a while to arrive but, they are available to purchase. They are even having a 15% sale going on right now for all their suits: www.turbo.es

Excellent, I've asked Kiniki about this recently, mentioning a "retro collection" might sell well given the never ending popularity of the 80s and 90s, said they would send the suggestion to their design dept and see what they thought

I will order Turbo when all this COVID-19 pandemic parafernalia have been finished. I don't want only the LA Uni in a bigger size (32) but also various models from their website including the Scotland suit.
