Speedo mocking

Once again on holiday in the Scottish Highlands I wore my navy aussiebum classics and royal blue Arena briefs on the beach and for swimming in the sea.
Although there were many people around I was not aware of any negative looks or comments. In fact one guy in a wetsuit complimented me for swimming without a wetsuit!

There are always comments on here about being scared to wear a speedo in public. Has anyone actually had negative comments or been given grief for wearing a speedo in public?

Nobody ever says anything.

Actually never. A couple times, as I've emerged from the surf to the sand, I've got smiles (not smirks) from young women in their bikinis.

I've had a few snickers, but nothing terribly overt or hostile. I've gotten more compliments than anything.

The negative comments I've gotten have been from high school age or lower. The worst was a ten (or so) year old bot who hollered as loudly as he could "That man has a women's swimsuit on!" That was embarrassing.

I think the hookups I've had and friends I've made after someone seeing me in my speedo more than outweigh the negative comments.

The only comment I've every gotten was at a water slide when some kid asked why I was wearing my underwear. I explained that it was a swimsuit and that was that. The suit I was wearing at the time was at least as skimpy as the one in my avatar.

Never ever, as I've said so many times. And I visit every pool I can. Three of them on a recent road trip across the state.

I’m more I figure by the fact that you found a day where you could actually wear them without getting hypothermia

Probably says more about me than the air or water temperature! 😁

I have worn a speedo in front of different groups of friends a couple of times and got teased for it for a few minutes, but each they got their jokes in, and didnt say anything else about it.

My younger sister got upset the first time she saw a speedo of mine. I’d bought a sunga for vacation in Brazil and left it out on accident. She saw it was upset that if bought it. I was going on vacation by myself so it didn’t matter to me what she thought.
More recently this same sister saw me in a speedo for the first time she asked “why I would you wear that? It’s disgusting!” I ignored her and didn’t respond and the rest of the day it never came up. It’s funny that usually other guys have either been supportive if they’re not willing to wear one themselves or indicated that they’d like to but their significant other won’t let them, usually it’s ok omen who’ve never had to hear knee length bordies before that have an issue.
My sisters boyfriend likes speedos but again she finds them “disgusting”.

That story sounds all too familiar.. my sister is an ultra conservative and has ran over to confront me on wearing a speedo.

On the other hand, I just started going to the pool in the mornings, it’s mostly older ladies doing water aerobics type stuff. Not once have they even given me a second glance a speedo. I’ve stood and talked to them, they’re always friendly, and said they’re glad to see someone new at the pool in the mornings. You’d expect a bunch of older ladies in a small conservative town to be the ones to take issue with it but that hasn’t been the case.

no negative comments ever. Some appreciative looks!

Went to the Spring Lake, NJ beach with my family yesterday for the 1st time this year, wearing my navy Tyr racer lap suit, like usual for well over 20 years. All that time, been the only guy in a speedo (except for one life guard several years ago). Even worn AB Classic WJ's a few times.

Just me amongst the cheeky-, Brazilian & couple of thong-clad bikini bottoms. Lots of fine ass to view!

Wear a speedo - drop your shorts - swim - tan - enjoy !

One time when I was wearing a Joe Snyder square cut suit at a busy beach there were a couple insecure teen boys who thought they had something to say. But they were just insecure teen boys, so I don't count them as their opinion typically nothing to concern oneself with.

Otherwise I have never had negative comments from anyone except my wife. She likes the square cut suits I wear, but claims to not like me showing my dick to everyone in the bulge suits and my ass in thongs and g-strings, LoL!!! I guess that is just her being territorial. But, she knows that I enjoy it, so she puts up with it because she knows what she will get if she puts up with it for a while. We ended up making love on the beach in Galveston, TX and on the trampoline of our rental sailboat in the BVI. All were mind blowing experiences.

Never had any negative comments in different countries of Europe. But I've had a lot of stares and glares when I was wearing a speedo.
