Armpit Shaving

Post by SpeedoQuest » Fri Dec 04, 2020 12:56 pm

I am curious how many guys shave their armpits. Personally, I shave my upper body including a lot of my pubic hair but trim my armpit. I have shaved my armpits before but was a little subconscious about how it was viewed for guys to shave their armpits. Any thoughts?

I shave and just find it to be more hygienic. But that said, I also trim/shave my legs somewhat often and always during beach season/vacations.

I don’t shave my armpits, or trim there. It seems that during my teen years, that part of me got forgotten by Mother Nature! I have hair there, but not very much at all. I wish I had a decent bush there, even if I did end up trimming it 😂

I've normally trimmed, after I tried it once and my wife requested I continue trimming, since the hairs grows pretty long there. I didn't shave because even with a trimmer, I might get a nick and it would sting for a long time. I recently found a fantastic new body groomer that I can't believe I can even use to shave down the center of my scrotum. I also used it to shave my pits and it worked great. It's a Philips Norelco BG7030. Other reviewers on Amazon gave it the same kind of reviews.

I shave my armpits as well as my pubes. I think it's more hygienic and I just like the look.

I use nair every 10 days or so. Works perfect and I have a perfectly smooth armpit. I do not like armpit hair. I think it is kind of gross. Just my opinion.

I have an earlier Norelco groomer. This one looks better. Thanks!!

I shave my armpits since years, as well as my pubes. I don't have much bodyhair and I like the clean and smooth look after shaving. It gives a hygienic feeling, too.

Does anyone use a hair removal cream on your nuts? What’s safe to use - the ones I’ve seen all say not to be used on genitals!

Mine are lasered.
Got to end the silly gender discrimination of body hair removal, men removing it is exactly the same as women.
Make the style/functionality choice you want as with facial hair.

I'm with you. Laser is the go.

Once we get past the covid restrictions in the U.S., I'm at least going to get some of the random, scraggily chest hair Lasered. I think it might still be dark enough for the Laser to work.

Thanks for the recommendation. And it's affordable. I paid over US$100 for my last Norelco standard shaver. (When I was a in college, they cost a fortune...).

Before 2020, I shaved my legs pretty regularly during the summer months. I''m a big cyclist and it's the "in" thing to do once you ride a certain amount or at a certain level (like racers or hard core ex-racers).

I've shaved my armpits before just out of curiosity... it ended up being more of a pain in the ass to keep up rather than producing a good-looking/feeling result. My wife was pretty ambivalent so I didn't keep it up.

That's also why I didn't really shave my legs this year... because of the pandemic I don't ride quite like I used to. It just wasn't worth the upkeep. (But holy shit- freshly shaved legs in clean sheets is heavenly)
