Tyr 2" Briefs

Post by 52dno98 » Wed Jun 08, 2016 7:55 pm

Has anyone tried the TYR 2" briefs? Just curious if they're true to seam width (I find the modern Speedo Solars, for example, to be wider than the advertised 1").

I just ordered a pair from Swimoutlet, so I can report back.

I have a pair of the 2" water polo suits. It fits similar to my Solars, but of course, much more compression in front.

Holy shit. What a great suit. Just got it over the weekend and swam 1600 yards in it today at the outdoor pool at the big corporate gym in town.

It's briefer than a standard suit, and it's made out of a Tyr fabric called "Durafast Lite," which is a polyester blend (to hold up to chlorine). VERY soft and VERY stretchy- moreso than a standard nylon/lycra blend.

As soon as I felt the softness of the fabric when I opened the package, I knew I had found gold. Swimming in it is all I thought about all weekend. At the end of my laps I had to hang out in the water for a minute and wait for my erection to go down a bit- it's a pretty revealing suit. Not quite as brief on the sides as a solar, but close. And a much softer fabric.

Definitely ordering at least one more this week.

I have a pair myself. There by far my favorite speedo at the moment, there a tight fit, but gorgeous.

Dave, they're available on Tyr.com or Swimoutlet (not sure if either ship overseas from the US).

I really like this suit. I've got another one coming tomorrow. I'll post pictures of that one, too.
