Mizuno Swimwear

Post by DaveSpeedoEvans » Wed Apr 01, 2020 6:38 pm

G'day guys,

Has anyone here ever owned a pair of Mizuno speedos?

I think growing up I once had a Mizuno tennis shirt but otherwise have not seen the brand in the flesh.

They look awesome to me, a little more ‘dressy’ if such a thing could be said about a speedo swim brief.

Although, it could be the pics of smooth Asian guys wearing Mizuno speedos that has me liking their look so much.

I have a contact who has one of the Arena swimwear licences in Asian so I’ll ask him if he knows where to get Mizuno brands. That is the same guy who sent me the black Arena speedos pictured below. I love them and I was able to get them in a large enough size that I can wear them to the pool.

Often those Asian style speedos can’t be bought in sizes big enough but he seems to have them.

If you’d like to look through his catalogue drop me a line. Of course, members are reading/clicking on the link now but it is only visible when you are logged in as a member. Just another little benefit I like to give.

Dave

Oh wow. Would love mizuno briefs. I didn’t see them around Japan. Neither did I find ASICS.

Only found arena which I had to go up one size.

Dave,

Sometimes they're on ebay. Here are some briefs in a shiny water polo fabric that runs super tight. Mizuno stuff is expensive.

Rakuten has a few of the same for less.

Tom Sports has the best selection, but they won't ship until after the virus is gone, whenever that is. I think the yen is about 100 to the U.S. dollar.

Suits in Japan run really small. The guys there wear them really tight, showing a lot of butt.

I ordered one. In medium. I'm a 31 in jeans, and I usually order small.

I bought a pair online from tom@kyouei-mizugi.com last year after trying without any success in Mizuno shops in Japan.

They feel great to feel and to wear. The silky finish is lovely to touch the tightness makes you feel like a professional swimmer in the pool. They are unlined, well made an seem quite tough. They dry almost immediately so would be good to wear for quick dip and then to put your trousers back on.

Although, as everyone has warned, a little too tight and not much room for your package or bum, I am still impressed. I ordered a size, as per the suppliers guidelines; 32 inch hip, so an L for me, but probably could have gone yet another size up. Although the hip size is right, the overall size still a bit skimpy.

Wow. Thanks for posting. These look awesome on you. The material might have less give the regular lycra.

I've ordered a lot from the Tomsports site, but never Mizuno--which is dumb, because Mizuno suits offer the best value of all the brands offered there. I'm typically a jeans size 31, and I order size "L" suits there, and that's pushing it. I've gotten Asian suits with wider side seams in size "O" for a more conservative look, and they're still plenty tight.
