Listening to Music While Swimming?
I'm getting back into a morning swim routine to make sure I get my workout in before the insanity of the day derails all my plans. What I'm missing though is music to keep me motivated and going in the middle of my long sets. My last workout I tried my Jabra Elite Sport earbuds streaming from my apple watch that was also recording my workout- but I forgot how low power bluetooth is giving it no real underwater range. So.... do any of you have recommendations for swim music players and/or headphones?
P.S. my New Year's Aussiebum order came in and I decided to wear my Lowrider Aussie green/ kangaroo's the other day... didn't turn as many heads as I thought it would but I guess at 630 am people aren't fully awake yet and are just trying to do their workouts

I'd be smiling if I saw you at the pool, even that early in the morning. I'd probably consider some innocent fun if there was a steam room.

Re: Listening to Music While Swimming?
Hey just this week the guy training in the next lane to me had bought off ebay an ipod shuffle that had been waterproofed and it came with waterproof headphones. He was saying its the only one he's had that lasts in the water. He was saying don't get the cheap ones.
Re: Listening to Music While Swimming?
Sam- I saw those as an option that I seriously considered but ended up going with the H2O Audio Stream 2. It's basically an updated and more ruggedized version. It's gotten pretty good reviews and has a good return policy so I thought I'd give it a try!

Second this ^ . Sadly, the 2nd G that I had - the wire to the bone piece became weak and stopped working which is a known problem with these headphones. I now use over the ear, FX Sport phones that goes under my cap. It's a little bulky but ok and I can program my drills in it.FloridaSpeedo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 7:21 pmI use the Finis duo bone conduction headset.

Re: Listening to Music While Swimming?
I looked into the Finis as well but heard a number of problems with the charging cable and such, in addition to the hassle of converting everything to mp3's. So I went with the H2o. It just arrived today so I'm excited for tomorrow morning's workout to give it a try in the pool! I'll let you know how it goes and do a bit of a review.
I use my apple watch to track my workout and can upload my workout onto it too through the swim.com app.

The Finis duo can be finicky but nothing lasts forever especially in a chlorinated, sun environment plus thrown in a swim/gym bag. This is my 2nd pair but I use them for 1 and a half hours each session 4 times a week religously.
Re: Listening to Music While Swimming?
Very true, nothing does last forever- thankfully I don't have the UV to deal with though since my pool is indoors- it gets a bit chilly up here in the winters!
Anyway- first swim with the H2O was good overall! Sadly I forgot the extra bag of ear tips at work the night before before I fit them so they popped out a bit about 3/4 through my work out. Thankfully I remembered them for the weekend so I refit them and I hope we're good to go for Monday morning!
One other feature I like about it is that it can become a bluetooth receiver so you can stream from your phone - not always useful in the pool, but has turned out to be useful elsewhere while by Jabra Sports are getting replaced

Agree!!! I have the Finis bone conduction too and they are awesome in the water. No ear plugs which cause sound distortion. Plus, I down load what ever music I want so I rock my workout; great for long distance days practice! Mixes it up & keeps me from getting bored looking at that black line all the time !
Re: Listening to Music While Swimming?
I'm using this while swimming, quite fit and the audio is clear
this type one could switch into bluetooth mode rather than the 420 series

Great topic and I've just placed an order.
