I've noticed a lot of European Speedos and older American ones have white liners, while the newer American ones have black or dark colored liners. Anyone know what's up with that?

Probably because black liners will show less detail so this will be better for the American market!

ok. tried it on and it does indeed feel like one of the old Speedo suits I grew up with... or maybe a bit like the power flex eco fabric from Speedo. it's very sleek and silky. not quite to the degree of amoressey but it's up there Thanks for the update. Thanks for your thoughts. I have always been a fan of aussiebum nylon classics. Mixed feelings about the WJ though! The nylon can be a little explicit when clinging wet, but so nice to wear and dry so quickly!

Mine is fine, not sure I would want to show the detail at a public pool that an unlined suit would show.

I think the cutting of some swimtrunks are just off unfortunately. The waist size may be correct by there is not enough rear coverage or the leg openings are too tight. If you upsize then the waist may end up being too loose. Too many body shapes!! Just look at the pics of guys on here, no one suit...
