lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
As my busy work season winds down, I'm trying to be more consistent getting to the pool in the mornings for a lap swim work out and have a pretty good size collection of suits that are good for that in addition to sun bathing in so I try to keep it interesting and switch up what suit I wear every time - at least among like 10-15 suits. Which made me curious if i'm the only one who does that- so fellow lap swimmers on here, do you rotate through your suits or just wear the same one or two over and over?

Re: lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
For pool swimming, I have two suits that I rotate. I do this because pool water is tough on my suits. For open water swimming, I rotate through about ten suits.
Re: lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
I used to get stuck on wearing the newest suit that I loved, for a season or two (I am usually out in the sun in them roughly Feb - Oct). Since my collection has grown, and have some I didn't really love when I bought them and tried them on, I've taken to storing them so that I know which ones I've worn this year or not, and tried hard to wear a different one each outing. Initially I was a bit self conscious about showing different tan lines, but found they average out and it is not really noticeable. This year I've spent about 1/3 at the beach, and 2/3 in the pool. I still have about half of my suits that didn't get worn yet this year, and probably at least a dozen that I'm keeping that have never been worn at all. I'm struggling to make space and get rid of the ones I'm just not going to wear. The other reason is that I have a pair of two that I love and I'm trying to hang on to them and extend the life just a bit more since they don't make them anymore.

Re: lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
I currently own 12 suits, and want to stabilize that number. (Trying to last a full calender year without purchasing a new suit, so far so good.) Had to throw out 2 this year. When they start showing signs of wear, I'll use that one exclusively for a few workouts until it's thoroughly finished. When the stable of briefs runs low, I look forward to buying a few more.
Re: lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
Interesting - I rotate through suits for my indoor pool more partially to even out the chlorine effect so that I don't necessarily destroy one suit faster than another.
But when it comes to outdoor swims/ sunbathing I do tend to stick to one suit all season or at least as close to 1 cut as I can to maximize the crispness of my tan line!

Re: lap swim suit rotation or repetition?
In my case I just keep rotating them (the ones in the group of: for swimming pool use) so I can say I rotate barely 50 pairs. The other group I have I use them mostly for beach.
