Friends seeing you in a speedo

My sister could be a model. With the perfect body. She was wearing a small 2 piece bikini. So she has no issues showing it off. Classic..... but be lives guys should cover up. Go figure

Perhaps she's scared of being upstaged by a .... hot hunk!

Always wondered about this myself - girls get to dress up (or undress!) and guys have to be boring. Think formal wear - why are the guys all in penguin suits while the chicks get to be colourful and sexy, cleavage spilling out, etc?

I have a group of friends that I canoe with anually. They have witnessed my evolution from board shorts to briefs. Never an insulting comment, but one compliment!

I have normally avoided wearing a speedo in situations where friends would see me. However I have been wearing them exclusively at my athletic club. I've made a lot of friends at the club so gradually friends at the club have been seeing me in a swim brief. First it was my Taekwondo instructor who was in the pool when I went to the pool. We worked out in the pool together. Then three or four guys from Taekwondo have seen me in a swim brief in the locker room. Yesterday my wife, daughter and I were at the pool when a family we know came to the pool and saw me in a swim brief. The husband was wearing long swim shorts and the wife a very small bikini.

Anyway, none of my friends have commented or reacted strangly toward my speedo except one of the men said to me, you're so lean and tan you look like an Acapulco cliff diver. I googled Acapulco cliff diver and viewed images and thought to my self, yeah I do.

Now I only avoid wearing a speedo around extended family members. However, I have a female cousin who teaches a water aerobics class at the club and sees me regularly in a speedo. She has never commented on it.

I also do Karate in the pool. I’m in martial artist myself. Doing stretches and kicks and punches with less gravity is awesome and you’re not gonna pull anything.

None of my friends have seen me in one and they would be shocked if they did. The closest thing to it was when I showed an Ukrainian co-worker a speedo photo of me in Miami. She liked it.

I have family that lets my wife and I stay at a second house of theirs. Since it is summer, and there is a pool at the complex, I am in Speedos a lot. I was a bit nervous about them seeing me. First time my Aunt and two of her female friends came by on a golf cart. Didn't bat an eye. Asked if I could fix something at the house of the one woman. Walked to her house in just a Speedo, and fixed it, then went to the other woman's house where my Aunt was at the time, and we all stood around talking, and me in just a Speedo. She didn't seem to care. So now I don't worry about it.

As for friends, it is unusual for them to see me in a Speedo at my pool, that is because I am typically naked. I will wear a speedo when they first come over to greet them in front of the house, but then once in the back yard, it comes off, and I am naked for the day. Swim in the pool, lay in a raft, cook on the grill, play games, everything naked. If I am wearing them they think something is wrong with me. All of my friends have seen me naked many times, and they are just used to it.

I'm content not hearing criticisms. I know people who would be appalled by seeing me in a speedo and wouldn't hesitate to say so.

It's interesting that there are people who think that a speedo is never appropriate anywhere at any time. I think they need to get over it.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about being in a speedo. I only wish I was as fit as you. You have the perfect body for a speedo.

There will always be people out there that are morons, but just ignore them, they are probably jealous, and wish they looked as good as you, and had you confidence to to so.
