Maui - Beach suggestions

Hi - visiting Maui and was wondering if there are any good beach suggestions? Also what is acceptable on Maui beaches? I hear some places are conservative?

So many good beaches. What are you looking for, and where are you staying? On the south side you can find shoreline paths that link public beaches from Kameole 1 to Keawakapu and from Mokapu down past the fancy resorts of Wailea. Further south are beaches of Makena State park. Notable for your speedo and your speedo tan is clothing optional Little Beach (Pu'u Ola'i). When I was last there I was with family so I kept my speedo on. A beautifully tanned naked guy came over to ask me to sign a petition to keep Little Beach free for nudity. He told me that he himself might be arrested, but I in my speedo would be fine. The sherrif had been cracking down. There had been "lively" drum circles at times, so they started cloing the beach at sunset.

On The west coast you will have the long Ka'anapali beach both south and north of black rock, and the great family beaches of Napilli and Kapalua, also with a great shoreline path. Honolua Bay for snorkeling.

And then there is the road to Hana, and thats in a class by itself, incluging waterfalls.

No worries about your speedo. Hawaii is aloha. You do your honest self.
