Upfront, I'm not a big comic book or super hero guy, I just stumbled upon this press release the other day. Looks like Marvel will be releasing a special edition comic with all their characters in swimsuits... and if you look at some of the preview art, it seems they are not putting the dudes in dork shorts. I'm excited about this for two reasons: 1) hot 2) its a really fantastic and culturally salient moment for our chosen swimwear.

They did large format Swimsuit issues in 90's to ride on the coat tails of the Sports Illustrated issues , and many of the characters were in speedos and thongs.( Males and female characters) . DC did one in 2023 called G'nort's Illustrated Swimsuit Edition that had a similar theme. While it may not lead to a speedo renaissance every little bit helps.
