Downsizing question

I'm wanting to buy a pair of Speedo XDSkin racers off the internet, but unfortunately for me my size isn't available!

I'm a 32 or thereabouts, and the closest I could actually order is a 30. I don't want these for racing or competitive swimming - just cos I like swimwear.

So, am I likely to face any problems if I downsize to a 30? Will the stitching and/or fabric hold up in the long term as well as if I wore the right size?

Cheers for any replies :D

Fact is... there is no standardization of sizes. Each manufacturer's sizing may differ from others. Sometimes there is variation within sizes. Mail order is a shot in the dark. I once bought a size 34 and it was too tight, so I ordered a size 36. It was TIGHTER than the size 34! Let the buyer beware.

If I order what I want I've no choice but to downsize to 30". I know sizing can differ... I've had things from the same product line but different colour fit tighter even though they're meant to be the same size.

Then you run into items that are mis-labelled, but I had a bit of luck there and found something that fitted me :)

lol best case then is to just go for it, or find another speedo unless this one is the one you REALLY want lol :)
