Nutrition for swimmers

Post by M » Tue Jun 19, 2007 8:45 am

Well, a number of you swim, so heregoes.

I am generally concerned with the nutritional habits of 16-24 year olds (as well has a few other habits I will discuss later).

I hope this helps in general as well as those of you competing. Not that I am great authority on nutrition, but this is a good reference

I should think true competitive swimmers are very aware of good nutrition and the rest simply don't give a damn. "

"Gimme a Big Mac, Supersized fries, a Big Gulp of Pepsi and throw an apple turnover in for dessert."

Try that for 20 years and I am not sure what speedos you will be getting in to!

Heart attack in waiting, although I admit every now and then your diet is very pleasant!!

Hopefully the semi-serious swimmers amongst us will take heed. If I can help 1, I am happy

I will drop my nutrition knowledge off soon. It could be kind of long to explain how I eat.
