help with a clean shave

I've used magic shave powder a few times down there but can never get it completely clean. After 7 minutes of waiting the small hairs go but the majority of it is still there (and I can feel the burn already). Could it be that I am adding too much water (I only add a tad so it's applicable, but it's still somewhat runny):?:

More_Speedos - Ive used the creme once and had most hair removed with only some little stubble in places... I've heard that it gets better after you use it a few times.
However, I'm hoping Mattie, Jace, or Bj chime in here with their wisdom on the matter as I think they have a lot more experience with it.... (or anyone else who may have used it more than once...)
Hotstuff - my only problem with razors (I agree they are easier) is the ingrowns while the hair comes back - I'm hoping the MagicShave will help to reduce or eliminate that problem...

I will let Matt or Jace really do the explaining here because they have a lot more experience with it than I do. My experience though, like jace says, get the powder to mix. I did the squeeze bottle, waste of my money and time. Pretty much when I leave the mix on everything comes off unless the hair was too long, in that case I reapply in two or three days. Otherwise it has been taking everything off, I'm not sure it would burn you though, mine doesn't.
Scotty - The ingrown thing really isn't stopped completely for me. I hate to be honest here, but almost everytime I get one - three ingrowns only on my ass!! I feel like it looks herendous and who would want to touch my ass now?

Bj - I'd be happy to touch your ass (more if you'd let me...) ingrowns or not!!!
I know that when I tried it, I used a Loofah sponge afterwards in the shower and that really helped with the removal of the excess hair...
