Hello all

I am not having a go at the mods, but....

The spam is simply getting too much.

Most of it is posted when Dave and Adam are asleep. This is the same time the mods in the States are at work, and as it happens its late afternoon, early evening here when I am on.

Is there perhaps someone in the Europe timezones who could be appointed a mod to deal with the spam at these times, or some anti-spam fix program that could be effective.

Its getting me irritated you have no idea how!

Sorry buddy, I am usually on once during the daytime hours here in the states while everyone else is at school or work. I just took care of the current spam so don't worry we will be on top of it. Thanks and hopefully I we mods can keep it under control for you!

Thanks. As I wrote it, I noticed you were on, but the spam wason for 6 hours before it was erased..

Obviously, no one can be on all the time. But...There is a gap (European time afternoon) when it is not attended to, but thanks a mill for helping.

And please guys, I am not bashing anyone!

i agree when ever im on (bout the same time as you) i see massive ammounts of spam

You are correct in saying that during the day in the US, most of the mods are in school or at work.

However, rest assured that we all check and remove spam as frequently as possible. I know that I try to get on at least once in the morning before work, once for a little while right after work, and then usually (unless I have other plans) for a while at night.

M - you may have a good idea about the new mod in a different time zone, but that is entirely up to Dave and he would have to find someone with whom he can feel comfortable.

I agree that the SPAM can be annoying - but lets all try to concentrate on the positive things here... namely fantastic guys in Speedos (and sometimes out of speedos) and the cameraderie that we enjoy amongst ourselves!

Scott, the major irritation is that its the same spammers all the time.

Surely they can be banned or stopped somehow?

I do not want to make this a major issue, but none of the other forums I "belong" to have the problem.

Actually its rarely the same spammer, at least not on the same user name, Ive only seen that twice, and Ive been on vacation, so sorry about that. Normally the spam is from a brand new user, and once they post one spam post, they dont post again, making it hard to stop them.

Sorry, by same spammer, I mean same topic, so I am presuming same person and IP address.

Although the viagra and tramadol username seems to be the same. I will write them down to double check my theory.

And no need for apologies and the word sorry. Please! I am not gunning the mods in any way. I am just trying to see what solutions other than the mods always having to delete posts there may be

The only problem with an all-morning schedule is no staying up too late or you might sleep through your classes . . . .
