With the nice weather I brought out my shorts this

week but I'm tired of the baggie dork shorts every guy

on campus wears.Any suggestions on shorter shorts

you've seen for summer? I want something big enough

to cover a speedo but not super tight.Something I could

bike in too about the size of underwear trunks. Matt

Matt--you'll like them. They're comfy and easy to get on...or off. I personally wouldn't bike in them because of the lack of padding, but you've got me wondering how they look wet.

I wonder how they look in general, wet would be a plus for me!!

I guess I've given away my age by now in previous posts, so what the h---. In the 70s when I was a teenager, a 5-inch inseam was considered long. A 3 inch inseam was about normal. If you wanted to show the crotch of your whities (no young peope wore boxers back then), you had an even smaller inseam. This continued through most of the 80s, but that stopped by 1990. Matt really is right in calling these "shorts" these days dork shorts. I honestly don't get it. What's the purpose in wearing shorts that go below your knees? Especially when it's hot as hell outside?! I thought that one of the purposes was to help you cool down. I'm hoping that shorter shorts come back sometime.

Fat. Lots and lots of fat. And in the US and UK, there's that infatuation with prison culture with the shorts that show crack but no thigh. I don't really get it.

I am lost here guys? I prefer shorts above the knee because they're cooler. I think that the guys who wear the pants half way down their asses look stupid. My friends always say if you think "it" is that big that people want quick access than just pull it out.

In summer of 2005 when it was hot as hell where I live, I said hell with it ("it" meaning the modern culture that dictates prison shorts or guys) and bought some jean "shorts" at wal-mart and cut them down to size - even made one with practically no inseam - very easy access. They're cheap and great and help keep me cool (in the temp sense) in the summer.

The "sagging" of the pants as its now known as begain, actually, in prison where inmates would drop their pants below their asses (and below their knees) to say they were "ready for buisness". It then caught on in the ghetto where many of the population had been in prison and now has spread to almost all teenagers and some adults now.

So the whole thing started as a symbol of sex through the ass....nice huh?

K thanks for that because here is the knowledge I was given. Apparently a friend of mine who dated a couple black guys said that he told her everything. The symbol that she was told about the ass high pants is that is just normal to them. That is what str8 guys should wear. To them guys who wear pants like I do and a lot of the population is gay. They think that the str8 leg pant look on the waist is a gay thing so most people who wear them that way are gay. Now that is not a concensus of the entire population, maybe just the area that her ex was from. Personally my friends and I always thought is was them trying to tell the ladies they have a big one and are ready for business. So if we were in a mall we would say to them, if its so big lets see it. I mean who dress like that, have you seen them run?? K - I like you explanation and it makes sense too. However should I ask everyone who wears their pants like that if they are ready for me to stick it up their ass, lol, I'm kidding!!?
