Fitness Center Speedos

Maybe it's my imagination, but when I go to the fitness center (main stream, not gay) to get in a lap workout I am noticing more and more under 25 y/o's in the pool donning a speedo suit. Also note more guys shaving below the belt. And most intriguing are the guys sporting their "speedo torpedo" both on the pool deck and in the locker room with no inhibition...me included. I love chatting with a pool mate about a workout while we're both sporting a speedo hardon.

I wish it was like that with me. The gym I go to, I'm the only one wearing speedos. I wouldn't mind talking with another guy if he was in speedos and was sporting a hard on.

Same here speedoboi-only once seen another guy in speedos at my local pool. What I find intriguing is the increasing number of young guys who wear tight little briefs and are quite happy to hang around in them in the changing room then put big baggy shorts on to go into the pool. They're always checking each other out furtively and seem to enjoy posing in their CKs

I hear you!!!! They don't want to swim in "underwear" but they don't mind parading in the changeroom in their underwear. One word: HYPOCRISY.

Which pool is that? It seems that less and less young people wear speedos these days, at least where I am.

As a partially straight teenage boy, I think I know what it is.
In the boys locker room, the only person who will judge your penis is other boys. And we all know that boys like to show off to other boys, so therefore, wearing tight boxers and briefs in the locker room - they're showing off to other guys, showing they have nothing to be ashamed of.
However, out in the pool - there are females! And some guys feel that they don't want to show their bulge to the female incase they're not "up to standards"
However. I couldn't give a monkeys nuts what they think, so I shall wear my speedo either way

Interesting point bw but I remember a serious scientific survey a few years ago into what women find sexually attractive in men and bulge size was very low in priority.Top of the list was a small firm round arse (and what better way of showing one of those off than a tight pair of speedos) so guys have no need to worry about whether they measure up in front of females. So keep on wearing the speedos and give them all a treat

At my gym I have seen zero guys in small suits. That doesn't stop me from wearing mine when doing laps or just relaxing in the steam room.

Here at my local ymca indoor pool in PA it is not so common, but I always wear mine now and people have been friendly. No big deal.

On the subject of "Traditional" swimsuits becoming more common, here in San Francisco I'm noticing a lot more guys out jogging in short running shorts.
I believe the 1980s "Marathon" shorts are slowly replacing the long & baggy basketball style for running at least.
I guess running is a lot more popular fitness activity than swimming, but if they might be interested in going to a pool, they'd probably be wearing at least a an old fashioned "square cut" and some might actually go for a speedo.

At my university's pool, boardshorts are definitely in the minority. I see mostly jammers, and occasionally some square cuts and a good number of speedos. Probably helps that my school has a large asian population that likes to swim. Of course I'm one of the guys that rocks a speedo :)

When I get to SoCal, I swim at an outdoor pool - small suits always seem popular there and I blend right in wearing mine.

Not about swimwear, but short shorts are making a comeback for rowers:

Here in Florida I've noticed some shorter less baggy shorts now. and more skinny jeans. At the beach it's still board shorts but some guys are buying the ones that come in a light weight stretch fabric that fit a little closer.

In the locker room after a swim. I usually hang out to catch my breath after a swim in the steam room or the locker room. I have still yet to see one other person in speedo style swimwear.
