This looks like it could be another picture of a possible set. I think someone posted this guy kind of recently asking about the brief and I think the consensus was that it's an older European Aquablade. The logo is a pretty good hint.

Scott - yeah those are the ones I'm looking for.
I can only find the aquablade in black or navy and none with 'speedo' on the front.

Scott1636 that guy looks like the model that someone on ebay used to sell speedos. He was/is one super natural model with a great package for sale.

I've only found the U.S. version for sale. I bought a hunter green a couple months ago from MetroSwm. I think I've seen a Royal blue there also. The U.S. version isn't as form fitting and doesn't show off your butt as well...at least not on me. Maybe it's my butt and not the suit. Anyway, it doesn't have the logo in the center ....just on the side above the thigh. And it doesn't have the multicolored tie cord, just white. I like it though. Closest to Asian for a U.S. suit.

Speedo don't make these Aquablades anymore. Those have the old logo in caps in the middle of the swim briefs.
The Aquablades that you find these days are much different.
I still have two Aquablades with the old logo in the middle. I used to swim in them but not anymore coz I know I can't find the exact ones as replacements. These two pairs are now part of my collection.

nowadays the remaining aquablade briefs have the new logo on the side. but I don't think they make these anymore either. But you can still find some online (whatever remaining stock I guess).

The U.S. blades have a different shape. I think they ride a little lower because the crotch part is shorter. Same tech fabric. You can still buy them on the SpeedoUSA site or at MetroSwim.com.

Yes, that's Anton. He left for college and unfortunately is no longer available for modeling speedos.

They used to be offered in royal blue also, although I haven't looked for them recently. I may even have a pair.

You can also buy the U.S. version in Royal @ SwimOutlet. May not be as hot as the Euro version but I like it.

at least here in the US but the weird thing is that they still make Speedo branded suits that are cut much briefer for other countries. heck, look at Pooablo's tiny red and black ones from Japan. at least if SpeedoUSA had a link to buy their suits marketed to other countries instead of the hassle of buying throuhg foreign websites like the japanese sites then maybe it wouldn't matter that the only ones they sell here are the few conservitive ones they still have.

I guess they license what they think will sell in the local markets. And that license goes to local companies to make the suits, so I guess they don't want the licensees to compete with each other, even though the parent company gets income from all the different global markets. So Speedo Japan is a local company there, and Speedo Thailand is a local company there. Neither would be allowed to sell directly in the other's market, at least in the local brick and mortar stores.. The internet globalizes it tho...
The Speedo brand is now owned and licensed by a British holding company, Pentland, even though it started in Australia. They also own LeCoste and Ellesse and others. At one time they owned Reebok.
On the Speedo USA site they say this:
"In North America, Speedo is sold in more than 11,000 stores encompassing all distribution channels. It also operates an ecommerce site,
http://www.speedousa.com. As the most distributed swimwear brand in the world, Speedo is able to serve different customer needs in different selling environments."
