Looking at Aussiebum League or Similar + AB sizing

I'm actually more of a thong guy myself, but I do have a Speedo 1" Solar that I love and wear for lap swimming. Not many places around here allow thongs, so my Adidas 3 stripe square leg sees the water the most. It's getting old though and is stretched out pretty far.
I've been looking for something lower cut and the Aussiebum League is my current overall favorite (Square cut, center seams, low cut, simple or plain design.) My only concern is, it is cut a little lower than I had hoped and I'm not 100% sure what size to get. I have thong tan lines that I thought were pretty low, but I'm positive the very top edge would show. A considerable amount of my tan line is exposed when I'm wearing the Speedo Solar, due to the taper at the sides.
I'm almost certain I'll order a League today. I can't find anything else like it, that's cut 1/2" to an 1" higher in back. The Hugo Boss Innovation 2 Oyster is close, and a little more modest, but that's not a brand I think of when I think of swimwear. It also appears to be just as low; just has a longer inseam. I love the back on the JM Waves Spliced squarecut, but I don't like the underwear like front. I found some stuff from O'Boy, but the shipping costs to the US are high.
Can anybody comment on sizing on the League? Unlike a lot of the other AB stuff, these have 20% Lycra in them, so I imagine they're a little more forgiving. My Speedo Solar is a size 34 and fits perfect IMO. I have a Speedo Square Leg though that's a 34 and fits a little snug (it's fully lined). I've tried on plenty of other Speedo stuff, and size 34 fits the best, even if a little snug in the leg. FWIW, Most of my pants have a 32" waist; some loose, some are tight. I had to size up to "Large" on my N2N thongs though, which adds to my concern with internet purchases.
Anybody know if the Precision and Squad are the same basic cut? They look similar, but the sheer rating is different.
FWIW, I do doubt myself.
I'm still soft in the middle, but I'm working hard on that.
Any comments welcome.
Thanks!
