Questions that spring to mind:

Since submitted pics are "moderated" before being posted, what happens if overly plus sized women submit? Do they get posted?

Are they afraid of "the bulge"? I would think that if submitted pics are moderated, they could just choose not to post the ones that are hugely bulge-centric. That way their gallery wouldn't start looking like a lot of the pictures posted here on this site!

I agree with you. If the site is going to sell swimwear (including and especially speedos) to guys, then they should have a showcase that guys also can contribute to.

After posting my first reply, I went back and went deep into the gallery, and found this one picture of 4 dudes (see below). Don't know if it just slipped past them, or if it was submitted before they clarified their guidelines, or whatever.

I wonder what would happen if you submitted a more "sport oriented" picture, full body shot, at the lap pool, instead of the avatar shot, which is admittedly a bit more sensational.

Good job, diveguy. You found one that got through! I was thinking the same thing that you said. They can just filter out whatever they don't want. So, we need some shots at the pool looking like we just competed in a meet. Maybe then, huh? Probably got to be young 20's or under I would bet, though.

Well, I shouldn't add fuel to the fire onto the site that most of my speedo wardrobe has come from, but they really need to have a little diversification, especially when allowing shots like this...
On a beach, wearing a recreational suit, showing a little attitude, with some sexual attributes. Now I would have to add, there are very few and far little number of shots without one's face so I would likely state that they prefer head shots.

I think that in North American culture, girls/women are allowed to express their sensuality/sexuality and get away with it. Maybe because it's still a male driven society and guys love ogling girls. But if guys strike similar poses, it is universally thought of as being gay. Fear, prejudice, I don't really know what is behind that, but it just is how it is. There are plenty of sites on the web that display pics of everyday dudes wearing speedos, not just for swimming laps, but at the beach, suntanning, etc. I do understand that the fashion oriented, professionally shot pics of male models are definitely not what Swim Outlet wants to have on their site, or especially shots intended to emphasize the bulge. But I think the worst thing about Swim Outlet's girls only policy is that 50% of their customers are guys swimming laps in speedos and they too should be allowed to contribute pics in that type of athletic setting especially. And if Swim Outlet is going to include beach shots from girls, then yes, they should also include "tame" beach shots from speedo wearing guys.
