Tribe Swimwear XXS suit for "sale"

Post by _su_ » Wed Jul 29, 2015 9:32 am

I bought a couple of different Tribe swimsuits a few months ago. Both were "XS", but one (Atlantic navy/red) was nylon and the other (Arctic navy/red) was polyester. The polyester one was snug to begin with, but after only a couple of uses (once to the pool and once to the beach) became too snug. I asked Tribe about them shrinking, after explaining I had taken care of them after each use in cold water and woolite, and that the other suit made of different material still fit perfectly. They admitted the polyester made one was indeed a "sexier" fit, but said they should not have shrunk if cared for properly, and graciously offered to send me the next size up. Although they have a no return policy, they were very pleasant to deal with. So I've had the replacement a while (the one in my avatar) and it fits perfectly.

The Tribe website http://tribeswimwear.com.au/catalogue/17 says they have updated their sizing guide. I noticed the suits I received I ordered a size XS but the tag simply had an "XS" sticker stuck over the "S" originally on the tag. The replacement suit had the same tag without the sticker. So if you plan on ordering one of their suits, double check the material and ask them about the sizing.

So if you are interested in the original suit I bought (Arctic navy/red polyester) and willing to pay shipping (from Florida in the U.S.), please send me a private message. My waist size is very consistently a 28"-30" and usually an XS or S. So this original suit should most likely be an XXS. I've hand washed it and taken care of it. But in the pictures below, you can see a bit of muffin top going on, and have since shown a bit of cheek coming out of the bottom. The suits are very well made though, seem to be hand made, double-lined front and back.
