I'm New to This.

Hey guys my name is Nick and actually I'm really new to this. I don't own a speedo and have never had one on but nothing gets my blood flowing like a tight body with a tight speedo to match. I'm really interested in speedo's but because I live in a conservative part of the Southern U.S. its impossible to wear them out in public. I probably wouldn't have the confidence to pull it off anyway. I'm really interested in buying a speedo so I can wear them in private and to the tanning bed. I may also be able to pull it off while laying out by my pool but with the rents that may still be a strech. But anyway let me give you a rundown of myself, I'm 18years old and I still live at home, tragically. I'm about 6'3 165 pounds with an average body. Right now I'm out of shape (not terribly) but thats because its too cold for laps in my pool. I'm really wanting to buy a speedo here soon, I was thinking about ordering one online for privacy and what not. I've been looking at aussiebum, but any other Idea's?
I really hope I get to know a lot of you, I"ve been trolling this place for awhile as a guest but I finally built up the courage to join! :) Thanks,

NIck

Welcome, Nick!! ... glad you decided to chime in ... it sounds like you feel like a lot of us do seeing a great body in a speedo ... AussieBums are wonderful but don't forget you'll have to pay shipping too ... with Spring just around the corner you can probably find Speedos in your local sports stores (and you can try then on first) ... that might be a good place to start ... If you have any questions, just post them on the board, or PM a moderator ... there are lots of people here with great advice who will be more than willing to help.

The only thing that I don't like about going to try them on and buy them is I feel so awkward about it. I mean I honestly need one for swimming but still. See I thought about assusiebum because they have free world wide shipping right now. I'm just not sure about size. I wear a 31 in jeans so that is probably a small. Besides I want them semi tight and not loose. Thanks for replying man, I wasn't sure if anyone would. :-/ Well I'm off back to work. Grrrr.

Welcome Nick!

I agree it's awkward wearing speedos for the first few times.

One way that might make it all easier is to join a non-competitive swim club or team. It'll help normalize that you're wearing speedos. Heck, you'll also get into awesome shape.

I do agree that you might want to try on your first pair. Every brand is made different and there is a risk with online ordering that you won't get something that fits properly. Aussiebum does have a great exchange policy. They also make a few models that are tight and not too loose. Just read the descriptions carefully!

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask anything that comes to mind about your favourite piece of clothing!

Thanks Adam, I really appreciate it. It turns out that I have an old square leg of mine from my days of religious laps in my pool. I decided to roll it up to look "speedo like". I imagine its not exactly the same but I should have a new avatar soon! I'm probably going to go to a sporting goods store and try one on soon. I need to get me one!

Hi Nick, the aussiebums are a really nice swimmer an theyre really hot to look at and wear, even in the materials which they use - and you can hold to the light and see through! I'm not sure how conservative you want to be with your swimmers, but the aussiebums are not conservative - even less so than the 4cm(????) speedos.

But thats also why I love them. :D

Ive always worn speedos. I think you'll find after a while that they're a "just nothing". Its a non-event to me wearing them at the pool, thats just what I wear and nobody ever says much about it but you do notice people that do notice. :D

Thanks for the reply Sam! I really appreciate. I've always been a fan of Aussiebum and really want a pair of the white classics. They'll never see the light of day outside of my own personal pool but I like them a lot. I actually went out and bought two speedo's from a sporting goods store today. I wear a 31 in jeans and bought 30's in the speedo's. The fit tight just like I like, but maybe just a tad too tight around my ass. But anyways Im excited about them! I got a black one and a blue one with red inserts. They're pretty fly bahahaha.
