Re: where to buy?
To my knowledge, Spank don't manufacture for the retail market, but do made-to-order swimwear for polo clubs, and lifesaving clubs etc which is why you only see them on people in those sports.
Re: where to buy?
You could try but I don't recollect ever having seen them there. Do a Google search and see what comes up or go to http://www.spankswimming.com for details of what they do.

Re: where to buy?
Yeah, they have Spank, but not as label "Spank". Spank make them for Aussieboys with the"Aussieboy" logo on the butt.
Re: where to buy?
Thanks....finally saw that when I zoomed the image. I kinda like the "Aussieboys" name.... Just guessing that it's the same quality and fit as Spank. How come they don't sell the "Spank" ones? Took a while to google and find the Aussieboys.aussiebumfan wrote:Yeah, they have Spank, but not as label "Spank". Spank make them for Aussieboys with the"Aussieboy" logo on the butt.
Have you or do you know anyone who has bot Caussie brand?
Youd think that Speedo would bring back their classic nylon suits and compete with Aussiebum and Caussie. A lot of us guys who never got to wear them would give them a try. Guess they're too busy hassling Dave. Like somebody said here....they're real worried that hot ripped guys are wearing their suits. LOL!!! DEATH WISH.....
Hmmmmmmmmm, lets see.....how else can they kill the Speedo brand: no sides less than 4 inches...... all models have to be overweight.....OR..... no models....just pin the suit to a piece of cardboard and take the pic....use cheap lycra thats as thick as canvas and gives you a rash....drop the Solar.....all suits will be in Flip-Turns prints and colors....never come out with a line of Asian cut jammers-----just the U.S. style ball splitter center seam with a waist higher than your navel....All suits sell for US$100 or more.....OR.....
quit selling any kind of comp suit and sell only board shorts. Bribe FINA to make boardies the new regulation comp suit......
There......that oughta do it!!!!!!!!!! HA HA
Rant over........................

Re: where to buy?
Glad you got that off your chest. i reckon that you only have to see all the old, overweight guys in speedo's on our beaches to stop you from ever buying them!
As for Aussieboys, yeah some great clothes, but massively over-priced...but then, they are in Darlinghurst, so what else could one expect.

Re: where to buy?
Blech! And in the locker room at the aquatic center here they wear their white jockey shorts that are three sizes too big. Ack! I think I'm going to be sick. And then there are the guys in speeds from Europe who are bigger than the Michelin tireman.aussiebumfan wrote:Glad you got that off your chest. i reckon that you only have to see all the old, overweight guys in speedo's on our beaches to stop you from ever buying them!
Sorry about the rant in the above post.....it had been building for awhile. i feel better now.

I know what you mean....here they'd locate in Palm Beach or further south in Boca Raton like Armani and D&G does. Hey somebody has to sell jeans for US$499.00. <sigh> gotta get a job with a bonus on Wall Street.aussiebumfan wrote:As for Aussieboys, yeah some great clothes, but massively over-priced...but then, they are in Darlinghurst, so what else could one expect.
Re: where to buy?
that was a good rant justin, we're all thinking the same thing! - i buy nike briefs mostly, because speedos aren't that great. perhaps the door is wide open for a new brand name and decent product. we could forget about "speedo" if there was a new brand name - tyr will never cut it. and you can't say "he was wearing a nike"
turbo is awesome, but i don't know if it will catch on outside of water polo.

Re: where to buy?
Thanks John!! It might be Turbo. Maybe if they made some comp suits. HAS to be a brand that sells in sports.JohnC wrote:that was a good rant justin, we're all thinking the same thing! - i buy nike briefs mostly, because speedos aren't that great. perhaps the door is wide open for a new brand name and decent product. we could forget about "speedo" if there was a new brand name - tyr will never cut it. and you can't say "he was wearing a nike"

So many designer/resort wear brands out there on the web. but I don't think any one of those brands will take off.
Do you own a Turbo?? The last suit I bot was a 'blade since they stopped making them and I figured I better get one. It's the only Speedo brand Speedo I ever really liked.

Re: where to buy?
yeah I have a turbo- the suits are double lined front and back and really stiff - not so great for turns. They are made for water polo, so, this is why. Having said that, I do see guys swimming laps in them in Cali sometimes...
Like you said, if turbo did comp suits it would be great, as the designs rock. I would also love it if water polo got more popular, and that would do the trick as well (I'm probably dreaming).
As for speedos the axcel splice is pretty good - the cut is higher and the fabric pretty comfy. The seam is in the rear, where it belongs, not the front, so speedo actually got it right on this suit. Mine wore out after a couple months of swimming though...and I still prefer nike suits over the axcel splice
I've gotten off topic and this probably belongs in "Speedo talk" (or better yet, "Turbo talk", ha ha) - so to conclude, its possible to buy all these suits (turbo, nike, speedo) at swimoutlet.com

Re: where to buy?
You're right....Swimoutlet carries Turbo and it looks like they're carrying close to the full line including some of the pricey designs that go for $60. They even have the Croatian design. No discounts. Have to wait for specials or coupons. They have the axcel splice on sale and a lot of the sizes/colors are sold out. Its nylon instead of polyester, so maybe thats why it didn't last as long (Turbos are poly/PBT). And yeah, the center seam works better in back.JohnC wrote: Like you said, if turbo did comp suits it would be great, as the designs rock. maybe the Miami schools have water polo but the local ones here dont. FAU has a mens swimming team but no water polo. I don't think PB State or PB Atlantic even have a pool! Kind of pathetic. Looks like even small 2-year colleges in Cali have water polo AND swimming. And a lot of the year it's cold there along the coast...at least compared to Florida.
Re: where to buy?
Wow...
Turbo has 20 swimsuits on their website, these are distinguished and separate from their water polo suits. They are "partially lined in the front" (instead of fully lined front and rear like the water polo suits.
Here is the link. Overall, I don't like the designs as much as the water polo suits, but I like the Route 66 suit the best. http://www.turboshop.es/cat/27/sw-men-swimsuits/1

the partial lining might make the suit stretchier.... I like the water polo prints better too...JohnC wrote:Wow...
