Hey guys,

I'm working on some technical changes to the board right now.

I have upgraded PhpBB - which is the software which runs the blog. From the quick tests that I've done it looks like some of the double login issues have been resolved.

Right now I'm testing a spam filter to get rid of all that russian crap and viagra crap.

Then I have 2 things left - image uploading and a new layout/look.

I'll keep you posted and place Private Message me if you see any other obvious technical problems.

Thanks for your patience guys and once I'm done I'll be annoucing new moderators and making sure the old ones are keen for another 'term'.

Wow - seems like you've been really busy Dave. The changes all sound positive so far... looking forward to seeing them.

You must be getting tired of deleting all the spam by yourself though...

Jace - great idea - being a programmer maybe I could whip something up .... but I would have to test it out very thoroughly first and would probably need some test subjects....

how about putting the original posting date with the author's name. I keep opening older posts I've already seen.

Wow - OK, so we have Jace, Steven, and even Dave willing to be test subjects.... Thanks guys, I may have to stop by to get all the proper measurements etc... lol

Dave, if you do stop by again and look at this thread - take a look at my Avatar post in the Speedo Talk section for a description of a new problem with avatars that I assume is related to your updates...

Hey guys, I'm working on some technical changes to the board right now.

Just did a quote and it reminded me that when the quote includes "username" it isn't processed correctly. Any chance you might activate the full quote function?
