when to buy a new suit?

Post by packedspeedo » Fri Dec 06, 2013 10:36 am

When should a speedo be replaced? I've been swimming 2 to 4 times a week, and the new speedo I got last spring is getting to be a bit baggy in the front. Should I wear two suits, this one under a new one? Or should I wear a swim jock under the baggy one for a while? Or just plan to buy a new suit a couple times a year?

I think it's best to just keep buying new ones, keeps things fresh. Nothing better than speedo shopping and putting on a new suit for the first time.

One should always have a fresh speedo available to replace an older one. I would suggest wearing the baggy one over a new, tight, suit so the older one can act as a drag suit in the water.
Let's keep it brief.

Totally agree with snowbrief, paspeedo, and Nate, always good to have a couple new speedos in case that happens. Plus if your training wear the older one on the outside so the water can drag you back to help you increase your swimming speed.

I wait until they stretch either between my but cheeks or, well, where to tip of my knob sits.

Once a suite starts to "bag" in front, time to toss it. I don't like a suit that doesn't show a proper profile in front or back for that matter. Always have a few extra for variety and suiting a particular mood for what color to wear for todays workout
