jammer swim suits

Post by mikesk40 » Sat May 16, 2015 4:51 pm

Hey all, I just want to say that I love speedos and all I would really love to wear to the beach but I have to say that I know that I really don't have the body for one. I am sick of wearing those board swim trucks. I was think about trying out some jammer swim trucks. What do you guys think them or what other kind of suits I could try?

Some may disagree and say to just wear the speedos. But I have mostly only worn jammers to the pool for modestly reasons. Although to be fair your junk is just as outlined in a pair of wet jammers than a pair of wet speedos. Although that still hasn't stopped me from getting the odd negative comment from wearing the jammers for being too revealing.

Honestly, mike, if you don't feel that you have the body for speedos, I don't think jammers are much better. If your concern was with your upper legs/butt, they might look better than a speedo, because of the increased coverage. But I don't think they look any better for those concerned with the fit at the stomach (too much gut). And square cuts, I think, are even harder to look good in than a speedo. I know this is heresy to say on a speedo forum, but have you considered some looser fitting shorter swim shorts like volley shorts http://www.amazon.com/Speedo-Runner-Vol ... horts+mens or a resistance short http://www.amazon.com/TYR-Sport-Short-R ... horts+mens? You get the looser fit but not the heaviness and length of the board shorts.
Maybe you can remove the lining and wear a speedo underneath. And at the right time, pull those puppies off and enjoy the speedo freedom. And if not, it's not the end of the world as we know it.

Good luck in your search for the right suit. Make sure to post some pics when you find a suit you like, no matter what type it is!

BTW, glad you liked my black sporti polo suit. I think it is a steal: great look, great price, great durability.

I have one pair and used them occasionally for swimming. Really did nothing for me. Rather wear a Speedo any day ... in the pool or at the beach ... and a Speedo definitely looks better and not so much out of place, especially at the beach. Go for a pair of square-cuts or maybe shorter shorts ... like a running short with split sides.
Check My Collection in Photos ... always adding new pictures! Fletch.
