Hi, lifelong speedo wearer.

I swim in lanes in pools when I get the chance, but my main love is wild swimming.

I love to swim in the sea, rivers and lakes. Not always in speedos alone due to the temperature, but at least under my wetsuit.

I am not a fast swimmer but fairly strong and happy to tackle open water.

I hope to contribute some pictures and stories when I can.

I have been a viewer on this site for a while but now look forward to participating.

Have you ever done the Great Scottish Swim in Loch Lomond? I'm planning on heading over there next year for the 2 mile swim. I hear the water's a little cooler than the beach over here though!!

Well Scottiebum, you should have joined sooner, at least for our sake.... welcome! I look forward to your many notes, comments, and presentations (and to see what else you may have in addition to that tantalizing blue AB suit).

And will also note, pleased to see another straight speedo wearer on board; I'm not, but it is rather pleasing to see the speedo appreciated and worn by all!

Hi, scottishSpeedo, I am a bit south of you but also on east coast. Not quite the same as the beaches of Australia or California but love it all the same. The beaches of the west coast and islands are amazing but not always beach weather.

I know what you mean....seen a more than a few days that are fine inland but rather.....frigid on the coast....
