Favorite Training Suit Brands for Daily Chlorine Use

Post by Speedoguy1971 » Fri Dec 05, 2025 3:12 pm

Hey fellow Speedo enthusiasts,

What’s your Favorite Training Suit Brands for Daily Chlorine Use?

I loved Nike swim briefs for years. About 10 years ago Nike changed their design. I liked the back center seam and narrower side seams from the past.

I also loved Speedo suits of the past.

Looking for new options for my fit 50ish yo body to sport at the pool for laps.

I've been pretty impressed with Sporti recently. They seem to almost always have something on sale on swimoutlet.com and aren't horridly priced in the first place. Their "hydrolast" series is their latest in chlorine resistance - I just bought one but haven't had it in the pool much yet to see how well it actually holds up but other suits I have from them that i've worn more seem to be holding up well (I do rotate through a bunch of suits though for laps swimming). They are cut a bit wider on the sides that I usually like but not to the point they get in the way or anything. They also have lots of fun patterns and colors! ;)

Arena is another that I think hold up well and have some slimmer side cuts in training/ workout fabrics that have held up to both chlorine and uv for me.

Speedo is still the brand that i have the most of but they do seem to have a wide range of durability depending on the suit. I have a handful I should probably fully retire since they just seem to sit in the bottom of the drawer and not get used anymore but oh well....

I will agree with recommending Sporti. Euro cut if you like narrower sides. They have lots of sales.
Speedo tanlines - making you even easier to find in the dark...

Thank you for your input and recommendations. I’m going to definitely try a Sporti Hydrolast in patterns and an Arena. You sport your suits well!

Seems like Sporti is the consensus for my needs. I’ll definitely try a Euro as well. I’ve got to keep this side of Florida Speedo strong! You make your suits look great.

Does anyone find the need to cut out the lining in the Sporti Euro? I find the liner is less stretchy and the suit feels much better on without the liner, especially the black liner.

Mine is fine, not sure I would want to show the detail at a public pool that an unlined suit would show.
