Caussie 100% Nylon Swimwear ~ remember nylon speedos?

Post by Caussie » Sun Dec 05, 2010 9:08 pm

Hi every body!

Wanting to let you know about Caussie. These are Australian nylon men's swimwear, which are inspired by where all of this started from ~ the original men's nylon Speedo.

So, if you like speedos, these might suit you, they may even become your favourites, or at least an favoured addition to your collection. They use the 100% nylon, without any lycra or spandex component, and the fabric is lightweight which looks and feels good. Anyway, have a look at the photos on http://www.caussie.com.au

Yes, you can use them as underwear as well.

And, yes, I do have an interest in Caussie. I have them made here in Australia. It took a long time and much perserverance to get there, but I finally located a top designer, with a background in the manufacture of the original speedos, who was able to put together my design into a lightweight racer style brief that captures the essence of the original speedo. Then, I was able to get one of the best swimwear manufacturers in Australia to put it all together, using flatlock stitching - just as used in the original speedos.

I think it works! Hope you do, too....

All the best,

Caussie 8)

Further to my previous post, I've now added a couple of extra Caussie photos from the website.

It is also available in Navy Blue, and will, in the next few days, be available in Red.

Enjoy!

thanks Caussie- do you think you might make smaller sizes? I know in the summer it's hard to find smaller suits for younger guys that swim on my teams.

Thanks Matt, for your question regarding smaller sized Caussies. We have not presently scheduled anything smaller than that presently produced as size 12 [ XS / 28" ], but we have anticpated the possibility of one size smaller being produced (Size 10 [ XXS / 26" ]). If there were a demand for this, we would produce it. What smaller sizes would you like to see?

Presently, we are concentrating on expanding our range of colours (Red has now just been introduced!), and have also introduced a more generous cut, in a three inch sided Caussie. Our original Caussie features a two inch side, and both the two inch and the three inch Caussie are available in Maroon, Navy Blue, and Black, as well as the newly introduced Red.

It is great to get feedback about what you and all on this site would like to see being produced in 100% nylon, as we will continue to expand our range of colours and styles, and are happy to be influenced by you would like to see come onto the market.

All the best,

Caussie.

The maroon, navy & black are all fairly dark and dull colours. I am sure the navy and black would be reasonably popular but it's a shame there aren't some lighter & more vibrant colours around. I'd take a wild guess and say that Caussie are seeking to get a bit of the Aussiebum market...Aussiebum has a much better variety of colours in their nylon swimwear.

Well Guys I have just received a pair of the Red Caussie and as ever what a lovely suit to swim in. Good cut, with plenty of room.

I rate these as being more confortable for swimming lengths / laps in than many other well known brands!

Being a guy from the UK I appreciate the variety of Speedo style and put these at the top.

Would welcome other bright colours, to go with the regular black, blue and maroon. Maybe light blue or green?

An excellent personal service from Kevin @ Caussie. Small can be better!
